How to find SABIC products in the IMDS-system
Introduction
IMDS stands for Industry Material Data System, a joint development of several Automotive OEMs. The IMDS-system is designed to facilitate recycling purposes and track declarable substances. In the system, all materials used for car manufacturing are archived and maintained.
SABIC
SABIC fully supports the IMDS-system. As a major raw material supplier to the Automotive industry, SABIC has published all of its grades in the IMDS-system so that our customers can access these data directly at any given time. Our IMDS-input fully complies with IMDS Recommendation 010 which is the valid one for Plastics.
How to access?
Since we have published our IMDS-sheets, these can be readily accessed at IMDS-site, using the material specific IMDS-ID. The IMDS-ID of your product can be found in the table below:

After logging in to the IMDS-system, a simple 3 step process will give you the required data:
- Step 1: Go to the Material tab
- Step 2: Fill in the IMDS ID-No.
- Step 3: Click on Search
