SABIC and Eurofilms: stretching towards success in Poland
Important Customer
One of SABIC's biggest customers in Poland is the stretch film manufacturer, Eurofilms S.A based in Olawa, produces stretch film for applications such as hand and machine wrapping. Having begun in 2000 with an annual production capacity of 9kt, in 2006 they achieved 27kt. Of the tent stretch film manufacturers in Poland, they are currently number two. Since 1995, the Polish cast film production segment has increased approximately ten-fold. SABIC is responsible for around 60 percent of all supplies linear low density polyethylene to Eurofilms, making SABIC their largest supplier of LLDPE which is used for the production of triple layer stretch film.
Growth ambitions
SABIC is proud to work in partnership with Eurofilms. Both companies have strong growth ambitions. For SABIC, the new hub in Kutno underlines its dedication to create more value for its Central and Eastern European customers by securing local supply, reducing delivery lead times and increasing delivery reliability SABIC will be closer to its customers, such as Eurofilms and able to support their growth.
Application and product summary
SABIC EUROPE provides butene and hexene-based SABIC® LLDPE grades for cast film and blown film production of stretch film with high consistency in quality and low gel levels. These LLDPE grades are produced in state-of-the-art gas phase plants in Germany and Saudi Arabia.
